Resting Woods received planning consent in August 2024 to create our vision. We have a few planning commitments to meet this winter to ensure any history of the site can be understood through an archaeological survey and to confirm our commitment to habitat creation.
Then, we can look to construction in the coming months. We plan to build suitable parking, pathways and a reflections building to allow families to gather for small services and peaceful reflection. We will also be sowing native grasslands and wild flowers to prepare the area for woodland creation.
Our hope is to be ready and open for Spring 2025.
We have also decided not to offer plot reservations until all of the consents and planning items have been completed. We would be delighted to add you to our mailing list if you'd like to know more once we are ready.
